Liz in The Conversation
While the podcast has been having a bit of a break, Liz has been busy with other things including co-writing this article about content classification for The Conversation.
We haven’t talked much about classification on the pod so far, but the article shows how important it is to provide reliable, evidence-based advice to parents and carers - and how badly the current Australian scheme fails to do so.
It also contains a link to a survey for parents of children aged 1-15 and we really hope you’ll complete it if you’re eligible, and spread the word to your friends. The survey is aimed at getting parent perspectives to feed into policy development. It’s also quite fun!
Liz and Kim are getting back to work preparing the next few episodes, and planning to cover sleep, food ads, aggression, the recent news about a big lawsuit against Meta, parental mediation and Australian children’s content. We look forward to sending the next show out on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile don’t forget we’re now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other popular streaming platforms - so subscribe away and as always, please tell your friends. If you don’t want to forward emails, why not join us on Facebook, and share that way?
